CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
Basic Handguns
$200 Per Person
This 8-hour Basic Handguns course is designed for new shooters, handgun owners who want greater confidence, and anyone who prefers a safe, supportive, low-pressure learning environment. Students will receive a comprehensive introduction to handgun types, firearm safety, handgun parts and terminology, sighting systems, ammunition basics, and how to choose a firearm that fits their individual needs.
Students who do not yet own a handgun, or who are unsure what to purchase, will receive guidance on selecting an option that aligns with their needs, comfort level, and intended use. Students who already own a handgun are encouraged to bring it so they can learn to operate, handle, and maintain it safely and effectively.
Through live-fire training, students will practice proper grip, stance, reloading techniques, and clearing common malfunctions. The course also includes instruction on proper firearm cleaning and maintenance.
**Firearm ownership is not required. Firearms may be reserved for use during this class.**
CCW Renewal Class
$200 Per Person
This CCW Renewal course is designed to refresh students on safe firearm handling, proper holster presentation, and responsible concealed carry practices. The class also reviews current California concealed carry laws and any relevant updates. An 8-hour CCW renewal course is required every two years as required by California State Law. Students must complete the required shooting qualification with each firearm they wish to list on their CCW license.
Suggested number of rounds for class is 200-250 rounds. Increase by 50 rounds for each additional firearm.
Private Handgun Lessons

Are you new to handguns? Do you have a handgun in your house that you want to learn to shoot? Learn how a gun works, Learn gun safety, Shoot 100 rounds of ammunition. Let Gunlady teach you in a comfortable learning environment how to use a handgun. It doesn't have to be a stressful experience; it can be fun and relaxing.
Don’t have a handgun or not sure what to purchase. Information and give advise will be given on your future purchase. Have a handgun bring it and we will teach you how to use it.
You provide: good attitude, an open mind and 100 rounds of ammunition. We will teach you to shoot a handgun.
This is one-on-one or small group training session. Students cover the Range fees. Price may vary, inquire within. Range fees average $20 - $25 dollars.
Home Defense
$200 per person
This course provides students with practical instruction to build the skills, awareness, and confidence needed to help protect themselves at home.
Designed for students of all experience levels, this live-fire course focuses on the fundamentals of defensive handgun use in a home environment. Students will learn key defensive shooting concepts while also reviewing the benefits and considerations of different firearm types for personal defense.
Students will practice essential defensive shooting skills and build confidence through home defense-focused training. The course also covers basic home defense tactics, responsible firearm storage, and what to expect when interacting with law enforcement after a defensive incident.
**Firearm ownership is not required. Firearms may be reserved for use during this class. If a firearm is provided, ammunition will be included for an additional fee**
16 Hour CCW Course
$320 per person
This initial CCW course is structured to provide comprehensive training that supports both the physical skills and responsible mindset needed to carry a handgun for self-defense.
Students can expect a highly hands-on training experience, with approximately 75-80% of class time focused on practical application. In addition to learning how to physically operate and handle a handgun, students will develop the mindset needed to respond responsibly in a self-defense situation. Our team emphasizes training that works with the body’s natural reactions and teaches students how to use those responses effectively during a dynamic critical incident.
Each student should bring approximately 400-500 rounds of ammunition. Bringing additional ammunition allows for more hands-on training. Students may qualify with up to three handguns on their permit. The qualification course is determined by each county.
Class size is limited to 8-10 students to ensure personalized attention and quality instruction for each participant.
Intro to Defensive Shooting
$200 per person
Intro to defensive shooting is offered to give prospective students, with limited time or resources for a full 2 day Combat Focus Shooting course an idea what the course covers.
This course is a 5-6-hour day of intense training, teaching and practice. The course will cover the following topics: Fundamentals of Defensive shooting & Intuitive skill developments. Materials needed: Working handgun and reliable holster, 3-4 spare magazines, Eye & ear protection. 300 rds of ammunition for your gun. If you don't have a gun, contact me for use of a gun and holster.
If you are looking for a class that will introduce you to holster work, then this is a prefect class for you. New to a CCW, however didn't get the time needed to get comfortable with working with a gun and holster. This is the class for you. Not sure what class to take after Fundamentals of Home Defense, here is the next step for learning to protect yourself.
Skill Development Workshop
This workshop is designed as an ongoing training opportunity for students who want to continue building and maintaining their self-defense skills. Each session includes practical, scenario-based drills that help students improve their ability to assess, respond, and apply their training in a controlled environment. Students will receive real-time feedback to identify strengths, build confidence, and recognize areas where additional practice may be needed. The goal of this workshop is to help responsible firearm owners sharpen their skills, strengthen decision-making under pressure, and better prepare mentally, physically, and emotionally to respond with care and responsibility in a serious situation.
